Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) was created in 1996 and was launched by former Malay Prime Minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad. Acting as a leading agency in the digital technology sector, MDEC was originally created to give insights to the Malaysian Government about policies, legislation and standards for ICT matters. Nowadays, MDEC’s main goal is to increase the national digital economy percentage to Malaysia’s overall Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
‘Our role is to build a vibrant digital economy and ensure that Malaysia plays a leading part in the global digital revolution. We are passionate about digital technology and its potential to transform the future of our nation and the world.’ – MDEC
LuxTag is honored to have received this distinction and looks forward to keeping on working with MDEC for the development of a sustainable digital economy in both Malaysia and the world!
